Donna Smith is based at Taniwha Farm, Waerenga, just out of Te Kauwhata, and approximately an hour from both Auckland and Hamilton International Airports.

Donna's Business is based around competing horses, schooling horses - from difficult ones to top level eventers and show jumpers - and preparing horses for sale for both the local and international markets.

Donna herself has spent seven years abroad, mainly in the United States of America working for Olympians David and Karen O'Connor, but also in England working for Andrew Nicholson.

Donna has represented New Zealand on three occasions in show jumping, and three times in eventing, starting in 1995 as a show jumping Young Rider, through to representing New Zealand at the World Equestrian Games in 2006, in Eventing. In consideration for the 2008 Olympic Games, injury to her horse forced her out of contention.

Donna currently is the CCI *** National Three Day Champion, and has been for the last two successive years. She is the current CIC ** Champion and current CIC * One Day Champion 2009.

Donna prides herself on being extremely approachable to outsiders, and is very willing to offer advice in any situation when she can.
